If you are at all dissatisfied with your order, please email us at support@thebookishhistorian.com within 30 days of arrival.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love the products you purchase from us! If you're not 100% happy with your order, please let us know by reaching out to support@thebookishhistorian.com.

For products that we keep in inventory, we may be able to offer a return or exchange if you contact us within 7 days of receiving the item (exceptions are noted below). Please reach out to us for assistance BEFORE you try to ship anything back to us.

If accepted, refunds will be made to the payment method you chose upon checkout within a few business days. 

Exceptions

Some items such as apparel, mugs, and home decor are custom-made to order. As a result, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges once your order has entered production with our partners. Please double-check all details before finalizing your order. If your item arrives damaged or containing defects, please contact us within 7 days at support@thebookishhistorian.com and we will look into it!

European Union 14-day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
